Based in the iconic Express Building, Huckletree Ancoats is a space for original minds and ambitious teams to come together, grow, and make a tangible positive impact on Manchester and the world.
The bold interior scheme follows the Memphis design ethos of the 1980s and 1990s characterised by colourful and abstract or geometric patterns and decoration.
Working with the designers, we selected a shortlist of furniture elements, upholstery, and finishes to integrate and further enhance the Memphis design language. We then arranged a showroom tour for the client to finalise this selection.
The scheme includes a variety of coworking spaces including hot desks, amenity areas, meeting rooms, a live lounge and a bar. There is also a hangout area – a convenient hub designed for chatting or to host informal events, a hangout zone – an area of soft seating shielded behind dramatic tensioned cables, and the Imaginarium – a green enclosure for respite and reflection.
